Kaldadarnes airport built by the british forces in the beginning of World War and used 1940-1941. It was abandoned after a flood in the river Olfusa. In background mount Ingolfsfjall named after the first settler of Iceland who stayed at the foot of this mountain for one winter with his men - approx year 875. Arborg former Sandvikurhreppur
